Solar Observatory

The Solar Observatory was originally used as a wide field observatory searching for Supernova. It was converted to do Solar Observations only in 2022.

The run off roof observatory was originally built in 2009.

I will be adding more to othis site about this observatory as I build up the web site.

The Observatory has a 100mm F10 Skywatcher white light telescope and a 150mm F5 Skywatcher elescope. This uses a Daystar QUARK Hydrogen Alpha Chromosphere Solar Eyepiece. The telescope also has a full aperture energy rejection filter and a ZWO 174mm camera.

The observatory and telescope are fully automated and can be controlled remotely.
